Why do we change our minds?
Buy things we don't need?
Resist things we know are good for us?
Follow some people but not others?
Make decisions we later regret?
Why do we change our minds?

Chris Ritson's keynotes explore the invisible forces shaping how people think, decide and act.

Why do people buy?
I spent 15 years in sales trying to understand it.
Why does one prospect say yes while another says no?
Why does one person change while another stays exactly where they are?
Why does logic sometimes work — and sometimes make absolutely no difference?
But the longer I spent studying buying decisions, the more I realised I was asking a much bigger question.
Why do people do anything?
Today, that question sits at the heart of my work.
Human behaviour shows up everywhere.
The flagship explores the bigger question. The supporting keynotes take that same thinking into two places where understanding human behaviour matters enormously.
Buying. And change.
⤷ A story that makes the room go quiet.
⤷ An observation that makes people laugh because they've done exactly the same thing.
⤷ An idea that suddenly explains something they've experienced for years.
⤷ A moment where they recognise themselves in the behaviour being described.
⤷ And a question they're still thinking about on the journey home.
The goal isn't to give people more information. It's to change what they notice.
Chris started his career making hundreds of cold calls as an SDR. Then became an AE. A manager. A sales leader. And eventually built his own business working alongside sales teams and commercial leaders around the world.

For years, the job was ostensibly about sales. But underneath it was always about something else.
People.
Why they trust.
Why they hesitate.
Why they change.
Why they don't.
Why they make the decisions they make.
What started as an attempt to understand why people buy eventually became a much bigger body of work exploring why people do anything.
Each keynote is shaped around the audience, the moment and the questions that matter to them.
