👋 Chris Ritson

People are rarely random.

People are rarely random.

What we see is usually only one part of the story.
I explore what lies underneath.

Every Friday, I write about the hidden forces shaping how people think, decide and act.

Read The Why

There is usually more to a decision than the decision itself.

There is usually more to a decision than the decision itself.

A reason behind

hesitation.

resistance.

a change of mind.

hesitation.

The same is true everywhere.

⤷ In relationships. ⤷ In careers. ⤷ In parenting. ⤷ In education. ⤷ In leadership. ⤷ In business.

Different situations.
Often, the same forces underneath.

Sales was my laboratory.

Sales was my laboratory.

For fifteen years, I worked in sales and leadership, watching people make decisions under pressure.

  • Why some acted.

  • Why some hesitated.

  • Why some changed their minds.

  • Why some didn't.

I watched sellers respond to pressure.
Leaders influence teams.
Founders make difficult decisions.

Over time, I started noticing patterns.

The situations changed. The people changed.

But some things kept repeating.

Eventually, I realised those patterns weren't really about sales.

They were about people.
